about this website

This website is a collection of original oil paintings I started on January 1, 2006 as a result of a new years resolution to paint daily.  I believe the best way to keep motivated with a goal like this is by sharing it with others,... so here it is!  Now that you know my intentions I have no excuses.  I hope you will enjoy browsing through the growing gallery as each painting is posted.

about the paintings

All paintings are done in oil on 1/8 inch thick masonite panel.  You will notice that most pieces in the gallery are 5x5 inches and 5x7 inches.  This small size helps me with the "daily" thing; I like to limit the time I spend to about 3 hours per painting.  I intend to vary the size occasionally and when I do, it will be noted next to the title of the painting.

about me

I studied painting at Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Arts and California Art Institute in southern California.  I currently live in the Austin, Texas area with my wife, Natalie.
